FREELANCE EMPLOYMENT 
2006-Present 
 Writer, Editor, PR Consultant
- Launched, created and edited a quarterly newsletter for executive search firm, The Cheyenne Group, that helped  extend their brand and audience
- PR consultant and strategist for the Thomas Cole Historic Site, Catskill, New York. Expanded their reach and helped them achieve a higher public and media profile.  Copywriting and consulting for brand consultants, Space Available. Worked with AVagnoni Communications to help clients with social networking, outreach and research
- Co-curated “The Real Men and Women of Madison Avenue,” a timely exhibition that referenced “Mad Men” at the New York Public Library on Madison Avenue
- Managing Editor of Other Advertising, a monthly supplement in Adweek, focused on alternative forms of advertising and expanded the scope of the magazine.
- Wrote, created and edited the 2008 Annual Report for awards organization, The One Club, which it used for marketing and branding purposes
- Contributing Editor of one, a magazine about creative advertising, US correspondent for Campaign magazine in London

- Wrote columns and features about advertising, media and marketing for U.K. and U.S. magazines and newspapers including Forbes, Adweek, Campaign, Photo District News, Media magazine and the Scotsman.  Contributed to the Advertising Age Encyclopedia
- Creative/Marketing Consultant to US and international ad agencies, including  Dentsu Communications, Japan's largest ad agency. Helped it establish more of a creative presence in the US. Hosted a seminar on creativity in Tokyo, Japan.

Creative Editor – Adweek
-Expanded Adweek’s creative coverage by establishing a magazine section devoted to creative advertising. Wrote and edited features and assigned writers, art directors and photographers. Co-chaired Adweek's annual Creative Seminar
 1984-1990                 
 Editor-at-Large – Advertising Age Founding Editor – Creativity
-Wrote columns and features about advertising. Set new standards for writing and expanded Ad Age’s audience to include younger readers. Created and edited a new magazine aimed at a younger advertising audience not previously catered for.  Hired and worked closely with eight employees, commissioned writers, photographers and art directors. Managed budgets.
